My Philosophy

Always learning and growing is something which is very important to me. Starting paragliding made me relook at how I learn and the process of acquiring skills within general and extreme sport contexts. There are three main ingredients for a safe accelerated learning path.

The first is maintaining a beginner mindset. If you’re always a beginner you can always learn. Falling into the trap of thinking you are not a beginner changes your approach to improving and increases your risk of complacency. Complacency is dangerous since you stop being aware of your subconscious feelings.

Paragliding is a sport where the glider becomes an extension of yourself and you work together as a team. Experiencing flight together. Feeling together. Acknowledging these feelings is the second ingredient and a critical one in ensuring safe continued learning. If anything feels strange in your body or the glider then it is better to not play with the boundary of learning and going too far.

Goal setting is the third aspect in the learning path which holds importance in directing ones energy to the necessary places. It is easy to become distracted and overwhelmed with large goals. Learning how to break down these goals into smaller achievable steps really helps to steer your energy and accomplish acquiring the skills you want.

I guide others in embracing a beginner’s mindset, staying curious, tuning into their instincts, and setting clear, achievable goals. Through mentorship and support, I help them stay focused, make steady progress, and learn safely along the way.
